my friend karen's son turned one this past weekend and she threw him this adorable birthday party. compared to the other one-year-old birthday parties i've been to, it was pretty mellow. no kids screaming into your ears. no temper tantrums. just a bunch of cute, cuddly babies and toddlers having a good time.

karen's an architect with impeccable taste. she really knows how to throw a party! i loved the color scheme, the birthday cake, and the fact that she hired a music teacher to entertain the kids. :)
