carmel

remember this wedding we attended near the end of summer? the wedding took place at a lovely hotel in carmel, which is a 2.5 hour drive for us. to avoid the long drive home after a [gorgeous] nighttime wedding, we decided to spend a couple of nights there and make it into a nice weekend getaway.

it was just the break we needed. carmel beach is small, quiet, and beautiful. walking around town was so refreshingly soothing. it reminded me how important it was to take time off and to relax. i'm hopeful we will get to make more trips like this in 2012 [one of my new year's resolutions]!
